Buck Fever

I took these pictures a couple years ago cruising through the Sierras. Complete buck overload. There were 3 coyotes surrounding them and howling at each other, but these bucks never moved an inch for 30+ minutes. I just stood there in amazement and snapped about 200 photos and videotaped them from about 70-90 yards out.

Oh my and in velvet this has to be in one of the parks.
Hopefully one of those guys is a lot bigger this season and he takes a step onto the eastern side where I will be waiting.

Looks like a typical day at Coal Canyon

I’ve seen them too Kellen, Yosemite is amazing. With low light at dusk, for a moment I thought they were elk

Man it would be so cool if we had elk in the Sierra. They are totally uninterested in leaving Owens Valley though. These pics were taken last year during the fires. We had beautiful weather everyday until about 1-2 PM and then the smoke would roll in. We had the place to ourselves.
