Collared El Gato!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We had 2 large bucks murdered on the 2 acres this past month by El Gato( bastards never kill the does or small bucks..always the good ones)..we also have a big population of CA condors...the greenies we're out in full force watching and recording the dodo birds as they played clean up on the cat kills....it was like watching a bunch of monkeys fck a buffalo..the horror..

They keep passing on the 4x’s and taking out the forks? Bastards!

They do keep the fork nation strong as they tend to kill the multiple point bucks...they actually started the Forky management program ...and there damn good at it... although it does suck when they take a good chunk of guaranteed income away...those dirty bastards..

Why is the collar a bad thing? Can't it show hey look since there is zero management they just casually enter residential areas?

And strychnine.

I wonder if it could ever be possible to convince the powers that be that leaving puma unmanaged was a mistake? I expect that even if they did, they would opt to cull rather than permit hunting because hunting is mean.

I have brought this subject before...Their (anti's) answer is, if we didn't deer hunt there would be plenty of food for the lions...They're a natural predator you know.

Of course they ignore (or more likely at entirely ignorant of) the fact that California hasn’t had a natural ecosystem in well over a hundred years.

Puma populations and range would be moderated by other large predators but I suppose the greenies would balk at reintroducing brown bears to downtown LA or the Napa valley (California grizzly lived in the foothills and grasslands of CA) or having packs of wolves roaming the streets the way coyotes do now.

We have ecosystems altered by man and they have to be managed by man or risk collapse.

Said by people that probably reside in suburban sprawl...
I really don't get what would be the issue of having a tag and quota system or even a zone and quota system for them. Is it because people never see them they just think that they are rare or something? They're cats. They are professional killers that do it for a living. Of course you don't see them often. It doesn't mean they aren't still all over this state. I literally see their giant kitty prints all over every time I go out.
