Checked a couple cams last weekend, super excited to see these guys after the endless parade of does last year. Anyone else been scouting d14 this year?

Been out couple times just poking around but I have seen good signs. Good looking pics you got I like

I’m going to be checking mine on Saturday on the way to the dove opener, I’ll do the same.
This is the only thing with antlers I have found so far. I have been trying a few spots closer to the desert, as I have found a couple of signs there. I'm hoping those will be older and larger.

Great representation of the 16 looks like you can hang a ring on him and he is branching 2/3 of the way up.

I thought the population had increased significantly over the past 2 years? Are the numbers really that low? Turkey was something I was hoping to get this fall.

You should have been around ten years ago to witness it and the heyday anticsof the turkeys that came about because of the reintroduction of what is actually non native strain. It's a ghost as to what used to be here since then. IMO leave them alone spring or fall for another few years and according to the weather and how they reproduce. They are stressed and we can buy a turkey dinner at the supermarket, go look for a deer , they are much better suited for the up an down drought lifestyle.
