This is funny!!! But sadly appears to be true? Was hoping for more horn porn...today is last day?
I saw 0 deer this year in the 16. Calling tomorrow to get my eyes checked. I’ll be making a video later on how to fry a deer tag.
NBK and myself put in some miles today. Hit the trail while it was still dark. Beautiful area we hunted and seen absolutely 0 deer! The wind was blowing good. It was a good hike and cool temps at the elevation we hunted. Made for a comfortable hike in and out.
Rough.... WINDY all day. One doe on the way out. Lots of miles in. Had a blast.. Tag soup again.
Same old, same old this week-end...Lots of healthy forkys and a ton of does...Last night the big boy I've/we've been waiting for came out at literally shoot time...Set up closer tonight and no deer moved till almost dark...Jacob passed on a small forky on the best "40" this morning...Fun season...Thank God for Spike Jones....
ps...So the other big boy that I saw was on private...Talked to the manager a couple days ago and I commented that I couldn't believe someone hadn't tried poaching him...Well, when I drove by the property this evening and right where I had seen for awhile, was a warden & sheriff with lights a flashing...Hope he made it and they caught the a$$hole...

Ahh...the 16....strong work fellas!! Couple weeks of Dove season left... Boy turkey...and Duck? ( No girl turkey in the 16) I'm with Stevo....keep them girls around so you can actually hunt turkeys there in the future!!
humbling year, saw two cats in two different parts of the county where I'd say are "go to" spots, one at 147yds...

I noticed that you are from Lakeside. Did you go to El Cap High School or did your kids? I taught there for 10 years.
