Well I posted this in the "Waterfowl" section a couple weeks ago and didn't get any replies, hopefully it will get a few here...

Hey guys... I'm trying to find a good duck club to join before the season this fall. I'm hoping for something a little closer than the Imperial Valley as I'm in Carlsbad but I'm definitely not opposed to making the drive if it's worth it and the price of membership is right. I've done Google searches and read a few threads but I haven't come up with any leads. Does anybody have a phone number or better yet, membership information for the types of clubs I'm talking about? Thanks for the help!!!

What's your budget?
What would you consider a good duck club?

Anything north of you will probably be pricey. Heck none are cheap imo. We free lance and for what I spend per year we could join a club, but I do more than just duck hunt where we go.

at prado basin near the OC/riverside county line there are 3 clubs...http://www.raahauges.com/hunting.php The other two Ralphs and slaughter S i dont think are taking new members.

In SD county there is http://mycountryclubinc.com/ at lake Henshaw, If you are military you can hunt Camp Pendleton for almost free.

In riverside county near SJ you have Ramona duck club..think its like 25k$ or something but i am not sure. you also have four winds http://www.pheasantclub.com/

lots of clubs out at the salton sea, Falling feathers, Wilderness unlimited, and so on.

my club the LCRA is low cost but you pay for it with blood and sweat! Sluester is the president of the club you can pm him for more info

Honestly you are asking to much... a good price and good hunting. There are way more hunters than blinds so prices are HIGH. Hunting at so cal clubs is hit and miss at best. Sure it can be good but it can suck just as much. With the water problems at all calif refuges this year expect pressure on duck clubs to go through the roof!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

yes i was bored eating lunch at my desk today.
