How common are Eurasian Collared-dove in Santa Barbara Can I just walk the hills and expect to find them like Mourning Dove?
 
How common are Eurasian Collared-dove in Santa Barbara Can I just walk the hills and expect to find them like Mourning Dove?

ECD's...They are kind of the missing link between a pigeon and a dove...Having traits & looks of both...They are seed eaters...Meaning, they like corn, wheat, barley, etc...Not a lot of that in wildlands or mountains...Dairies, feed lots, melon fields, or other manmade type places are their favorites.
