The administration recently withdrew the formal nomination of anti-public lands activist William Perry Pendley as director of the Bureau of Land Management. The decision acknowledges the reality that Pendley's record of working against our public lands would not pass muster in a Senate confirmation hearing. Nonetheless, Pendley continues to lead the BLM in an acting capacity, which jeopardizes our public lands and waters and erodes the trust of our resource managers.
We need you to tell Congress: Enough is enough!
If Pendley's decades-long history of advocating for the sale of our public lands is not good enough for the Senate, then it is not good enough for the American people. Sportsmen and women deserve better.
Contact your senators today. Urge them to ask the president to remove Pendley from his role at the BLM. Tell them that the BLM needs strong leadership from a qualified director, one confirmed by the Senate in a transparent process.
