There are a lot of videos on YouTube from dudes launching from La Jolla shores and hitting the kelp paddies...yellowtails, halibut and even some monster white seabass being caught. Been wanting to try it but I have no where to store a kayak..good luck out there Lee!

Definately entering the food chain at La Jolla. Known pupping ground for the man in the gray suit but way over rated danger wise. Not what it used to be forty years ago but seasonally it does produce good fish for those that know.
