Lake Sutherland Today...3-14-21

Had a NWTF work party this morning...Afterwards, I saw old friend Steve Bolivar getting ready to launch his boat...He asked me if I wanted to fish from a boat...Sure...With a water temp of 56, the fishing was slow landing only 5 fish (+ 1 crappie), but one I got went north of 8 lbs...2nd trip in a row with no Senko bass (crappie)...This time it was split shot Robo worms...

I'd rather be lucky than good...I was literally talking to Steve about how the split shot rig I was throwing is a pretty good small fish bait, when I hooked her...Split shot, Robo worm, Aaron' Magic, 4 1/2" red flake...Got 3 fish the day before from the beach on Senko's.

split shot is a deadly technic, i love throwing it. you just have to be a patient fisherman. fishing slow is hard for some. but cold water requires it.
beautiful fish , geat job. sutherland is a jewell.
