Tried my hand at making baby back ribs on the bull Sunday. Incorporated my way into the 3-2-1 method. Without being full of myself, the ribs came out pretty wonderful (rather be lucky than good). I made some homemade BBQ sauce with some bourbon, honey, maple syrup brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, mustard etc. and finished in the smoke box for added smokiness. Recteq ultimate pellets seemed to do the trick.

The rub was commercial and an even mix of the three shown. Quite good.

Baked beans and some Cheez-It's for good measure.

A walk through via pictures:

I also used the 3,2,1 method on the ribs I did over the weekend. Made my own rub. brown sugar, sugar, kosher salt, chili powder, onion powder, garlic powder and cayenne. I have been making my own bbq sauce for about 500 years. All my friends request some for Christmas so they all get a gallon.

I forgot the black pepper.

Looks awesome John.. please do tell about the Cheez Its...
I am a little surprised. Smoked Cheeze-It's are a thing. You can just tray them up and smoke them or spritz with EVOO and season before smoking. Either way, it's like crack.
