Question about lead and steel shot

For the dove opener are you still able to shoot lead shot in California and Arizona or is it just steel now and what 12 gauge size is best for dove

This will be the last year to use lead shot, for dove, in California. I use 7 shot in steel because it is mostly the only size I can find and, if I do my part the dove can't seem to tell the difference.

You do need non-lead if hunting a CDFW Wildlife Area though.

Thanks SurfN, I forgot to include that steel is required on any CDFW properties.
