Rabbit hunting

So I'm am looking for some rabbit hunting for my 2 oldest sons 12 and 11 I'm in the Torrance area down to wake up early and drive but 1 day trip would be best bet thanks

Head for the high desert or
Imperial valley.

Not familiar with that area but if it
Open BLM or NF, and high desert good
To go, get OXHunt, and e-scout.
Also Google maps.
But ONXHunt with tell you if it's public land.
Shotgun has to be non lead ammo.
22lr or any rifle still good til July.
Except wildlife areas are only non lead.
Read all the CaDFW regulations.
Don't get a ticket........

Based on the number of people that target shoot on Hodge I'm doubtful you'll find many jacks. Maybe further up towards Barstow?

Just remember to be there right at sunrise and sunset that is when you will see the most rabbits.
