Don't know if anyone heard, the SD county board of supervisors voted today and approved to allow rattlesnake possession for aversion trainers (given that you meet the insurance and business requirements,) what that means is that if you live in SD county as of January 1st 2013 it is not only legal but you are protected by law in deciding whether or not you want to have your pooch trained. We've gone from being persecuted to being protected. I can't say enough about the public and their input concerning this issue and the response, All the folks out there that voiced their opinions is what got this on the agenda and fixed. Once again thanks to all for your support.

Best regards and thanks from Tracy & Fred @ HighOnKennels.com

Great news! Can you tell us how the ordinance was changed, or the wording of the new ordinance, to allow it to go forward? Just curious. Thanks!

The ordinance was amended to allow sole proprietorship business's with one million dollars in liability insurance to offer aversion training in the unincorporated parts of the county. The business must present the proper documents to the Dept of animal services prior to conducting any training.
