Steve –

On Monday, CRPA filed a motion requesting an injunction against enforcement of California's recently implemented ammunition laws. The injunction is part of the case Rhode v. Becerra, filed in April of 2018, where lead Plaintiff and gold medal Olympian shooter Kim Rhode and other Plaintiffs have asked the court to halt enforcement after a train wreck of a roll out of the new law on July 1st.

You and I both know the entire system is an unconstitutionally excessive burden on law-abiding gun owners, with little to no law enforcement value. California ammunition retailers were given little if any guidance from the state explaining the procedures for processing ammunition sales -- causing mass confusion. It’s been chaos.

If the court grants the Plaintiffs’ request, it will prohibit California from enforcing its ammunition sales restrictions while the Rhode case is fully litigated. A hearing on the Plaintiffs’ request is currently scheduled for August 19. A decision is expected sometime thereafter.

CRPA and NRA are committed to defending your Second Amendment rights, with dozens of current and future lawsuits in the works.

Your support would mean we can build up our legal war chest and continue this fight. TOGETHER.

This is a crossroads in history for gun owners. Now is the time to STEP UP. That is why CRPA is taking action to end this attack on Americans like you and me -- but to move forward in this case, we need to raise more funds to fight for our 2A freedoms.

We've had some MAJOR wins in court lately, but there is much more at stake.

We have some of the best lawyers in the game on the case, and CRPA is fighting everyday with actionable lawsuits that will change the tide. And we need your help.

ps....How many of you gun owners belong to the NRA or CRPA?

Steve, Not a member of the NRA ? How could someone own a firearm and not be a member, I sure hope everyone on this site regardless if they are a gun owner or bow hunter has a membership. I joined in the 70's when I got my first rifle (age 13) and been a member ever since. glad to hear this news, my check will be on the way Monday morning to CRPA.

Fred,

The reason I asked is because I was fishing with a friend the other day and I asked him why he didn't go to the NRA mixer with us....He then told me he wasn't even a member of the NRA....This person loves guns & hunting.

So, I just got to thinking....How many guys on here are members?....I'm guessing the number is much higher than me & you think.

ps....He told me he used to be, but didn't like all the mailers....WITW!....Just throw them away then!

Every mailer I get reminds me of how important it is to belong and contribute $$$. The other side is OBSSESSED, and if we don’t have the same passion, game over.

LifeTime Member Here....and very disappointed in them these days. This is the front line in California. They should be pouring money into the fight but they are not. Oliver North blew the corruption of the NRA wide open. My attorney says this about the laws. They take your guns and ammo and anything else they can grab. Then they run you through court until you are penniless and just before you get to the point of going to a federal judge they will drop all the charges and walk away. You are now penniless. I know nothing about the CRPA. Will be happy to donate

NRA Member. But in the future might consider switching to another organization. They don't seem to be producing results. They bombard you with mailers asking for money, but never send you anything listing what fights they've won in your state, or which fights are on the horizon.

Also... they even failed to email me the electronic subscription I chose. How do you even mess that up? That's a set-it-and-forget-it type of thing. And this is even after I called to let them know it wasn't coming in. While on that call, somebody rectified whatever issue that was not coming in... cool... figured problem solved... but then no other issues ever came in. That's free money on the table right there... they don't have to print it or mail it. Just email it to me. And they can't even get that right. That's just sad.

For me it's like this... I worked my way up thru support and into development. That kind of poor support is unacceptable. I am thankful for each and every one of our clients. I consider then family. They feed my son, put clothes on his back. I show major love whenever a customer issue gets escalated up to my level. When some issues got my name on it... I make damn well sure it's fixed and that the client knew exactly what the status was at all times, and I always would follow up days... then weeks later. Just to let em know I'm thinking about em, and I got their back. Attention to detail, and dogged relentlessness... that's what it's about when you're servicing your clients.

Anymore, they just seem like a big money pit. I will give em props for being smart and putting in that female Dana Loesch though. That was a smart tactical move on their part. For many reasons.

The NRA is in the business of fighting for our 2nd amendment rights....There are 50 states that this fight is going on with California, New York, Illinois being the worse....So you're peeved that you didn't get your e-letter....Try calling again and have some patience with them.

Without the NRA, and others we'd already be shooting sling shots....And maybe not even those....Be thankful we have them!

I'm a life member and haven't gotten a mailer in years, I recall there's a way to opt out. It seems like a trivial reason when your 2A rights are at stake.

Same here....I get no flyers....Once in awhile a voters guide to who the most pro 2A politicians are....And it can be a dem or Rep.
