Tried to get out early this morning as I have a 9.5 hour drive...this dirty bastard caught my attention as I was packing up...squawkin away in the back forty...I decided to grap the old 870 and do a quick set up...2 hours later after alot of dirty talk..he comes in..KAPOOW...#2 in the truck!! I gotta get outta here before I'm tempted to stay and schwack another...gotta be home on Easter...

Without a doubt she would love to dress out this birds you provided for your table. Prolly has a decent recipe she can whip up while ur relaxing after such a stressful hunt.

Prolly don't have the time but I like to brine my birds for at least 18 hrs. then rinse with cold water rub with oil, not motor, A little S&P, then in the smoker over hickory. It drives the neighbor crazy, which, in at least one case is a short trip.

After 40 years of turkey hunting...it never gets old...from my first bird on the island of Hawaii as a young Hatchet till now...the yardbirds will always have a place in the freezer...long live the TURKEY!! Especially the RIO!
