New to hunting

I think Schnees and Kenetrek have boots that will fit. @BBH might be able to chime in I think he got both in size 14.

Cool, I just ordered some vortex viper HD roof prism 10×42. Gotta try on boot before I buy since I'm flat footed.
Vortex is good glass, now get yourself a tripod to hang them . You will find the steadiness of a tripod makes glassing easier and you will be able to pick up much detail when breaking down a piece of terrain.

I wear a 13/14 and am flat footed with wider feet. Shoukd be fun trying to find a pair lol

I wear basically the same size...Bass Pro carries 14 W...I wear a boot similar to Merrels, but about 1/2 the cost...They last 2-3 years and I just throw them away and buy another pair...The last ones were on sale for like 50 bucks and they're water proof.

What brand?

I wear the Hardscrabble Hikers.. tried the Mountain Extremes but they didn't fit my calves. Love the Hardscrabbles..

Like Snake Charmer is saying here, it's freaking magical when your binos are on a tripod! You'll see ANYTHING that moves!

Try Crispi, you will like them. Should fit your wide feet like mine. Performance Archery has a decent selection usually in stock. No matter the boot get the best insoles you can afford. You will thank me later.

Might as well start with some smaller game like upland or predators to get started since you've pretty much missed deer. Fun and it'll be good practice to work out, get used to how to move or not to in the field, field dress basics, etc. And it's a good excuse to be out in the field.

A good work out routine... try to pick something you enjoy, can be done close, and can be done all year. For me that was mountain biking (and getting a bike good enough to progress). If my routine doesn't fit into all those criteria I'm less likely to do it or simply can't do it and then it isn't much of a routine and not very effective.

I have read over most of the replies to your question and everything I read is good sound advice and it comes from guys with many years experience. The one thing I did not see mention nor did you ask is, how much should I practice my shooting. The answer is, practice often, every chance you get, practice until you feel comfortable that you will be able to hit and put down with one shot what ever the target is. Then practice some more. After safety, the most important thing is making a humane kill.

Yeah, I try to get to Performance archery at least once a week, I think I'm gonna start hitting Morley before work in the mornings.

That's my go to spot.

When you say upland predators, I'm assuming coyotes?
