Well the monday blues are now the friday blues. Didnt see a single deer which is unusual. Thinking its the heat or my morning pressure. Im gonna lay off the deer monday and do quial instead. Then go for an evening hunt.

That actually does describe my area. The beer cans stopped before my hunting area, but the light deer trails suddenly getting bigger worried me.

So I always see people who cut up their deer in the field. The place I go to get my tag signed says the deer has to be completely intact minus guts. Is this not true?

Ya, it is actually pretty overgrown right now with rain we have had. They just seem to prefer to hang out beyond where I can shoot.

Probkem is I cant seem to find them in the area I can hunt.

So I dont know deer habits very well. How far can they move in a day? I find tons of evidence but the only deer I runinto are about 5 miles away, outside where I can shoot. Do they wander that far? I havent found any rubbing so I assume those does are who leave the evidence I find. Will bucks...

There is a water source very close, but the strange thing is I haven't seen any evidence of deer near it.

I'm thinking of giving deer hunting a shot this year for the first time. Ive already been out twice and found places they have come through. Obviously its really early, but I don't think its to early. Now I know places to keep an eye on through out the year, to see if they continue coming...
