Yes.
I have a tag for D15. It looks like its good for both Archery and Rifle season. Is this correct? If it is, I plan to take the bow while scouting, on the off chance an opportunity present itself. Then, during the General Season, I'll start carrying my rifle. Is this what others do?
I am new to hunting. It seems like every time I talk to an experienced hunter the other person assumes I know a lot. For instance, I didn't know until I went to the San Jacinto Wildlife Area cleanup that one can't have more than 3 shots in their shotgun. Another example, I didn't know until I...
I can’t deny that it’s tempting. The length of hunt vs. available funds would be the limiting factor.
I might be able to pull off a day, maybe two, but there’s no way I could afford a week.
I've added a bow to my equipment but I don't know how to edit my About page. It's a PSE Omen, currently set at 50lbs. Training should bring that up to around 70lbs.
I think I'm pretty well set up. I need to mount and zero a scope but I have everything on hand. I've been spending some time in San Mateo Wilderness (D15). I've been calling it scouting but I'm mostly trying to get into shape so that I can actually do scouting. I haven't found the deer yet...
Quick question…
I have 2 Deer Tags one for D15 and the other for D16. Now I’m concerned about my ability to find a respectable take. I’m considering a guide but I don’t have a lot of money.
…The question (a two parter): Primarily, what should a guide cost? And secondarily, what should I...
It seemed like the right thing to do.
I also received a tree stand and a couple backpacks that I don't intend to use. I will be offering those for sale at some point but it seemed right to pass on the onX key.
Plus... I wasn't at 20 posts then, but I am now. ;-)

Not entirely sure. I went straight for the Elite when I was signing up because there was a discount that made the Elite and standard the same cost.
This is a menu that may be unique to Elite but I can't be sure
I entered the Eberlestock Spring Time Archery Giveaway in the early part of May. I was selected as the grand prize winner. One of the prizes in the package is an Elite Membership to OnX. I already have an Elite Membership and the code doesn't work for me. I am offering this code for free on...
I only applied for one draw choice. D16. I was confident that I would get it, and I did. I've been studying the maps for about a week. This weekend is consumed by Ham Radio activities but I may go out next weekend and have a looksee. Maybe. drop the wife off in Julian and go explore from...
I opted for D16 as my first tag. I don’t have any points to burn, so I figured, why not. I’ll pull D15 or G10 closer to the season depending on whether I can get access to the base, or not. I applied for the other game mammals but hold little hope of getting any of them.
Thanks again for the reply. I'm not an active Marine but I do have a 60% service connected disability rating from the VA. I believe this may grant me access to the base, but I need to confirm and get that ball rolling. I'll use the number you supplied, it looks like a good place to start...
Thanks for the info. I don’t expect to get elk, antelope, or sheep for the next 20 years but I wanted to make sure I wasn’t locked into an area. For deer, I’m thinking D16 first, then D15, then Camp Pendleton (G11?). I still don’t know if I’ll have access to the base come hunting season.
