I have a few old newspapers from important dates in time. This is from Nov. 24, 1963. Just two days after the assassination of Kennedy. F&G released 10 thousand pheasant in the valley and 3 thousand more just a few days later.

Great article, Mike.......What a difference where today we're lucky to get a handful of pheasants planted......In that era, Fish & Game ran in the black, weren't getting sued by every tree hugger in the state, and hunting was considered an honorable recreation.....Thank you libtards of California!
