Surf was to big from the sand today and had to fall back to the jetty. Snagged this guy today, weirdest thing I have reeled in. Was squirting purple ink everywhere. Not sure what it is, slug? Anyone? And a little fatty perch.

Great reel for the critter rod, rebuilt it a few times. I have it spooled with 80lb braid. It will throw 5oz weight 65+ yards.

I just googled it, looks like a black sea hare, its a giant sea slug. I had never heard of them until I looked up purple sea slug right now.

Come on man, it's a glob of oil, call in Ca. OSHA, EPA, HAZMAT clean up crew, shut down large section of beach. Blame Trump.
