Came back out to Virginia this year to hunt with my buddy. The last few years we hunted his club with shotguns. This year we mixed it up and spent the first 2 days on public land shooting rifles. Our first day was about 8 hours in the rain and cold and none of the guys in the area saw a thing. The second day I saw my buck walking up behind me around 8am. I shot him through a small hole between a bunch of trees and branches. I brought my NRL hunter rifle in 6.5cm shooting 140 elite hunters @ 2850fps. We headed back to the hunting club the second night to clean the deer. Today we hunted the club but I only saw one small buck that was too small to shoot and one doe that was too far out to make an ethical shot. It was a great trip and spent lots of time relaxing in the woods.

Swell buck Jeff! Glad you had a fun trip. Weird looking hunting rifle. Looks like it got the job done!
