Even though Wednesday was slow (for me), a nicely decoyed Pintail, and a Nice retrieve was enough to make it all worth it. Got a Gadwall also, but Rip was actually too fast for me to get the Phone out for some Pics. A couple from the weeks prior.

Old Jake just passed away.......This was his last hunt at Kern.......Great retriever and companion.

This was his last trip to Canada.

How could I forget (actually didn't, but had to find pix.....lol) Original Yeager amd Mike.....They were a great duo for upland game. Mike being part beagle would howl and find them. And Yeager would retrieve them.....Great era for pheasant in the Sac Valley.

My Dieter at home, on the river and in Canada. He is a good dog who just wants to hunt.

This is my first dog,trained her my self, she's not perfect but loves to hunt, her name is Cali, she's a bird retrieving machine. Her favorite thing to do it retrieve crippled ducks. The pic with the three coots were her first water fowl retrieves.

This was from the opener this year.... once I got home. Lol

Pup wasn't ready for the crazy opener. I have taken him twice this season but both times my blind partners blanked on slow November days. He will be out next wednesday. Hoping for a few ups.

Yeah Nick........Couple months ago.........Tough day for sure.........A lot of great hunts with that dog. And it was a rare day that I ever lost a bird (dead or alive). Even found a buck for me once.......
