I hate turkeys- but I make sure to take off the Saturday opener every year.

Yep- fairly simple as long as you take care of the fan properly. Plaque can be purchased anywhere and online .

Learn something new all the time- always did the pin to cardboard method. I will have to give the pant hangers a try this year- if tommy boy cooperates.

Adam,

Turkeys handle snow pretty well and can be very nomadic...The issue would be, if snows crusts over frozen or is too deep for them to dig down thru it...Southern Utah is better in that sense (high desert), but St George is getting snow...So, that means the higher elevations must be getting hammered.

My friend just told me certain areas have gotten over 500" of snow this year and they are looking at 600"+ before the season is over.

Something to keep an eye on.

Such a good idea! Totally forgot you did it that way and wish I wad done it that way with my first but hopefully there is more to come this season. I remembered after I did the pin and cardboard method lol

I shot a turkey at granny's in 1984..it was a good year .

Oh..and he was flying as I put the Cherokee sneak on him as a young hatchet..... KAPOOW from the old 870..and THUD...he is currently residing in the west wing .
