Barnes and Hammer Bullets

getting into reloading and wondering if anyone has had good luck with the Barnes 168 LRX and the Hammer 169 Hunter.

28 Nosler I would go with the heaviest bullet available. Looks like you are going copper. Go with the 177 hammer hunter. I will be loading the 169HH in my 280AI but the 28Nos is built for heavy bullets at long ranges.

If I was going copper for 28 NOS I would take a good look at the cutting edge bullets as well they make some really heavy copper. They lost them as single feed but with a 28Nos you might have the room to seat them a little deeper and make them work in your mag. There are a lot of guys more knowledgeable than me in that stuff. Bottom line go heavy use that horsepower!

The 177 Hammer Hunter is a beast! The 185 Cutting Edge requires a 1-7" twist barrel. Very specialized barrel for a specific bullet. Folks need to be aware of their barrel twist when procuring bullets.
