Dead Duck On The Wall

Howdy, thought I'd share my story... Common Goldeneye I took down last year while driving down the highline east of Holtville. Glad I had a truck they kept flying down the canal. I was finally able to put a sneak on them after a few miles of chasing. After I took him down and my cousin got the female down. To retrieve them was kinda a mission. We did have a our fishing poles so that made it a bit easier again the truck came handy as we needed to chase them floating down the canal.

We also had a "karen" pull up out of nowhere and start yelling that one of the ducks was still moving and suffering.... 2 seconds later my cousin shoots his female again, and tells karen it's not moving anymore. Karen freaked out and left us alone. Fun stuff for sure.... Breck got my bird done and my cousin still has his in the freezer.

My boy loves this one so it's going in his room for now.IMG_1010.JPGIMG_1009.JPG

Awesome Rick, nice wall pieces. I've had birders roll up on me at the Sea before asking if I've seen any good birds. I always ask if they wanna see some up close, then I bust out the strap. Much closer viewing in hand than in their binos lol.

I figure those pictures will give the Hatch wet dreams, well after he recovers from the Rona. Better than the finest Penthouse center fold.

Congrats Ric,

Very nice black & white.....One of a couple of ducks I don't have mounted....

Thanks Guys, I don't hunt much duck but I do like their awesome colors. So I've decided to get me a few for the walls. Still after a Pin, Can and might do the all mighty mallard. After that I might stop chasing them unless my boys picks up duck hunting.
