Fishing clearance in Santee

Just a FYI, the Santee Walmart has some fishing gear on clearance.

Nothing too amazing but there were some penn and pfleuger reels that were discounted to 50% off.

Wow trash cans and blister packs. I guess I'm getting old, when I needed to go to a tackle store reels were in display cases (salt water) and rods were lined up against the wall or on racks like guns at a gun store.

Too be fair this is Walmart. They do keep rods on racks but I expect they needed the shelf space so the clearance ones go in the tub.

The non clearance reels are in a locked case too. Only been like that in Santee for a few years though. Too much shoplifting I guess.

Walmart’s pretty goofy about that stuff though. In one part of the store, lighters are hidden behind a counter, in another they’re hanging on impulse racks out in the open. Typical corporate retail BS.

I picked some spinning & bait caster rods for 5 bucks each from the barrel in Montana...I own G, Loomis, Phenix, and other top of the line rods as well...The Wally World rods feel just as good in my hand...

Thanks for the tip I'll check em out. Need to refresh my gear. Too bad they don't sell ammo anymore.. I used to buy my cases of lead dove loads for cheap there at Santee Wally's before the lead ban and background checks did em in.
