Re: I'm looking for opinons on bicnoulars

I picked up some swarovski slc hd 10x42's brand new for $500 off.. They were well worth the money! No comparison between mine and my dads leupild bx 3 mojaves. I always said I didn't need $1000 binoculars, but they really do help find more deer. If you can save up for those I would.. The vortex razors are also very nice, they were what I was going to originally buy, but I found my swaros for such a good deal I just went with them

I love my Swaro's 10x42 EL's.......In your price range, I'd go with the best Vortex you can afford......2 cents.

I like leupold rogue binos because I don't have the money but that being said I would love a pair of Swarovskis. The rogues are a good low budget pair of binos and in the same price range. They work pretty good and I also use them for looking for kelp patties in addition to hunting. Great versatile binos for cheap in my opinion

Re: I'm looking for opinons on bicnoulars

With optics you should buy the best glass you can afford.

I recently purchased the Leupold BX1 McKenzie 10x42. They are the best I've ever had (I'm sure they aren't as good as the more expensive brands/models). B&H Photo has them for $130 (free shipping and no tax)

Socalbeast, DO NOT BUY any glass you haven't looked through. Compare it side to side with other brands and models, and take a lot of time doing it. Any distortion of image or color, or lack of clarity fatigues your eyes rapidly. If you are looking through poorly made glass for several hours, you are in for some real eye strain. Take your time, save up and buy the best you can afford.

I have the same pair & also the xlt bone collector series both are awesome & better than my friends vortex diamondbacks. I also have a tight budget so was not able to spend $ 2500 on a pair of optics, but for the $ they work great.

I'm also on a tight budget and a few years ago found good value with a Nikon Monarch 5 in 8X. They were on sale at BPS for about $250. In case u can't swing the Vortex.
