Hey everyone, new to hunting and esp hunting in Southern California. Went out into as for a dove hunt that turned into an amazing day for rabbit and caught the bug. Have been up to Cleveland national forest and spotted both coyotes and a bobcat but couldn't get either without trespassing. Anyone know any better areas? I go out with 2-3 other guys new to the area and we haven't had too much luck over here. We are planning to scope out Pendleton and see if it's better up there.

Get some BLM maps you can call the BLM office to order them. Also there are a few good phone apps you can get that show huntable land. Then get in the truck and treat every hunting trip like you are scouting. There are a lot of places to hunt in SD trick is getting out and finding how to get into them.

Thanks guys. Has anyone heard if you can use electronic calls in Pendleton? We have a blm map and pretty easy to navigate. We should start returning to specific areas and now moving so often. Talked to a couple firefighters in Cleveland national forest and they pointed us in the right direction.
