WTF I have a 2013 ram with a Cummins and I just got a notice that I need to head to a dealership and get a recall completed or else I will not be able to register next year. WTF the recall just says Emissions bla bla bla Calififornia bla bla bla,,,, What are they gonna do to my truck? I need to register out of state and rip everything off.

Oh great now they’re gonna install some new program to kill what mileage I have left in the name of climate control.

How many miles do you have on the truck?

I'm no expert but the word I heard from an original owner back when it was first introduced was this was not good right out of the gate at introduction. Would be very interested to hear the full story as Fiat is an established manufacturer with a history.

I got 130k on my truck. I’m not due for registration till November. Looks like I have till then to figure out how to delete it.

Call Gale Banks, I am sure they have a solution.

Have you replaced or rebuilt the tranny yet?

Yes it just got a new tranny in May and then a bunch of front end stuff in August. I’m in it to win it now, not getting rid of this truck anytime soon. That’s fine I love it and I have a small commuter for going back and forth to work.

I have been looking at other ram and Cummins forums trying to see what the effects at the pedal and pump are but most guys out of state are saying they won’t do the update. California won’t let you register it unless you do. Lame. I have a buddy that had one of the VW ‘s with a TDI that was available for a buy back but he kept it and says the mage is still good after the update.

Interestingly, California’s CARB previously granted exemptions for owners during times of renewals for emission items like this. But they want diesels off the roads so doubt exemptions will be allowed. Keep us posted. There are almost 1 million trucks under this recall. What a cluster puck.

I have a 21 in this "recall"

No, I will not take it in for bloatware...I put it on a weight reduction program and don't plan on letting it gain the weight back. ;)
