Round 2 Eurasians

How do you identify euros from mournings in flight?

Euros are larger than mournings, Euros are light grey while mourning doves are more brown. Mourning doves have longer skinnier tails than euros. Euros are stockier and have more of a pigeon like body. Also I believe mourning doves whistle in flight while euros don’t. I remember the summer before my first dove hunt, I would stand outside my house in the late afternoon and watch mourning doves fly by to memorize their appearance. With practice it gets easier.

Also, Euros have a black collar on their neck that mournings don’t have.
