Checking cams all summer has been really disappointing.....A couple of little spikes and a few does and that's been about it.....Well, a few days ago, things started changing.....Does with fawns started showing, a bachelor group of bucks appeared on one cam, and a buck that looks almost exactly the same as Stefanie's buck last year on another cam.

Poults are growing up nicely and the recruitment seems to be pretty good.....It's amazing what one good winter & spring will do for wildlife.....Acorns on trees that haven't produced in a long time too....Lots of fruit this year too....;)

ps....Apparently does have a pecking order too....girl fight, girl fight....lol

Only a few more weeks until bow season can't wait. So pumped to be chasing big game this fall.

Ya' gotta love private property. Nice photos Steve.

Yep John.....A world of difference from hunting public.....I've said it before, one is like hunting real mule deer and one is like hunting white-tails.

The older I get, the more I appreciate white-tails......lol

WT simply don't stop moving. They are a skittish creature. I can see whitetail and mule deer in a single field around here and those whitetail blow out of the field and never turn around. Muleys stop waiting for you to shoot. Lol
