Has anyone done big game hunting in Wyoming ? I am moving to the state in September . My main focus living in California was bird hunting . Any suggestions on areas ?

Near Casper, I have prairie dog hunted multiple times around the area.

I like Wyoming

Its possibly the most resident friendly big game state there is. Take advantage of it!

I have a friend that lives in Lander...Lots of waterfowl...I also have friends who hunt in the northeast corner near Gillette for upland and do well...I think Wyoming is very untouched for bird hunting.

Only public. Wyoming is a dream for the resident hunter and massive amounts of untouched land! Just pick a unit and learn it!

They do have some garbage legislation coming through that will cut non resident tags drastically. Currently doesn't affect elk, deer or antelope but who knows what the future holds. Even the locals I know think it's stupid. I don't think they've considered the impact it's going to have on their revenue. In my opinion it's being pushed by outfitters. These people that I've spent years and years collecting points are going to get screwed
