Hi all
I'm new to this site and new to predator hunting. I have been hunting upland game for many years and would like to try something new. I have a couple of ar15's in 5.56 I could use, but is there something better?
Thanks
Brian

use your AR with this for ammo

they make them in 40 gr too if you want a faster round :) just devastating to the animals you hit with them....reads not fur friendly

Ok cool what's a good rifle company for this round?

Check out the Remington 700 SPS varmint. It has a nice bull barrel, I haven't had any problems. No coyotes have got away. It has a nice price. It's also my favorite rifle, I've put down jack rabbits out to 250 yards with no problem(usually I'm a bad shot with my other center fires) anyways Goodluck :)

This rig has my vote...

Colt Match HBAR Elite

22-250 is all I've ever used,

I'm sure with the right barrel, scope and home loads an AR will do the job.

You forgot to add 348 yards . Course the caller should get some credit too ;).

AR's are just stupid fun. I do like my little .204 ruger AR, From. 400 yards out like this yote

That is just flat out Awesome! Love the canoe head!

Nope you can run 100 round drum mags if you like. In maybe the only decent laws this state has, no size or capacity restrictions on ceterfire rifles. That covers dfg code. There are lots of laws that cover evil semiauto tacticool guns but that's another post

To keep yourself out of trouble - I would stick to 10 round mags...

Im pretty sure you need a specail permit to have a magazine that can hold over 10 rounds i heard that from a marine and a couple of friends
