    Fun hunt in the mountains!

Outstanding! Humping these hills ain’t easy, much respect!

    Where do you put ‘em?

Magazine dump pouch. Brilliant! I didn’t even know that existed. I can see them being useful in a lot of ways, thanks for the tip! I had a leather game bird holder like you described back in Canada. I liked the concept, but I found that having the birds dangling off my waist while crashing...

    You are a funny man!

    Where do you put ‘em?

Yeah, very reasonable. Thanks! I put myself on the waiting list. Like most things these days, it’s either currently unavailable or coming soon...

    Where do you put ‘em?

Hydration is not something I put a lot of thought into. That is something to consider, thanks!

    Where do you put ‘em?

From what I could tell, everything by Filson is the type of stuff that you can leave to your grandchildren. Buy once, cry once. I’ll save that for when I start chasing Chukars though. For this season, I opted for a mesh vest by Browning. It looked solid enough, has the game pouch in the rear...

    Where do you put ‘em?

Those are great suggestions, thanks guys! This is really an awesome community. That vest looks way cooler and lighter than the ones I used to use.

    Where do you put ‘em?

With all of my hunting experience being on the east coast, I’m trying to figure out what to do with with the critters I shoot out here in the west. More specifically, where do I put ’em after they’re down? In the past, we wore a blaze orange vest that had a compartment intergrated into the back...

    Ammo shortage

Lordy Lordy... not ten minutes ago I purchased 10 boxes of that exact ammo but in steel for $250.00 from a guy on GunBroker. And I was stoked! .20 gauge #6 has eluded me for over a year. Got plenty of 7 1/2, but #6 is rarer then hen’s teeth.

    Am I Wasting My Time?

Thanks for the tip! Yeah, IV looks real good. I enjoy shotgun, that was my weapon of choice back in Canada. I’ve given up on the .22 though. Not much in the way of dependable green ammo. I’m looking into getting an air rifle. Hell I could hunt here in Fallbrook with one of those!

    Ammo shortage

Just saw this now. If you factor in shipping and FFL fee, that’s over $10.00 per round!! No love for the .20 gauge man...

    Ammo shortage

I bought a .20 gauge pre pandemic figuring if the SHTF, all the .12g would get snapped up and I’d be sitting pretty. That didn’t work out too well. Managed to get a half dozen boxes of 7 1/2 last year simply by blind luck, no #6 to be found at any price. Same with my 22-250. Best I could do was...

Cow poaching is becoming a huge issue !

Back in the 80’s when I was a teen, a rumor was circulating in my small town that one of the local scoundrels had poached a cow. He apparently used a chainsaw to both do the deed and section it out. I don’t know if it’s true, but he was a big enough asshole to pull it off. The thought of it...
