Just a quick note to wish you a safe abend fun season. Starting my 61st year in the marsh. Still have the fire and desire. Hope you get out often and enjoy it - every moment. I'll raise my coffee cup to Max and my dad on the opener as I wait for legal shooing time.

Take care
Rick
Steve, I can’t get ahold of anyone down at Wister. Could you please tell me who to contact to get an application for camping.
Thanks, Mike
I've added a bow to my equipment but I don't know how to edit my About page. It's a PSE Omen, currently set at 50lbs. Training should bring that up to around 70lbs.
Hey there,

Thanks for sharing. My family has had a cabin in Glass Creek for many years. Now that the whole family has far outgrown the cabin, my in-laws bought a bigger property for all of us to enjoy together.

That said, I’ll be in the area for Fourth of July when we get the keys to the new property. If you’re in the area I’d be happy to meet up for a beer or two.

Thanks again,
Chris
Guy on Jesse's hunting and outdoors has a Z2 for sale for 599. Didn't open post it due to he is not liked by some members here others visit both this and his site.
I'm a new hunter. I use all the skills necessary to be a decent hunter individually but now it's time to put all the skills together. Let's see how things go from here.
Sorry Steve, a guy and his son come and bought everything I had. New duck hunters that needed all the help they could get so I helped them out.

I'm oddly having a hard time trying to duck hunt. Not with the stuff so much but trying to go out with others with a few exceptions feels like pulling teeth. Either new guys not wanting to get squat beyond waders or experienced guys that I assume are afraid of reveling a spot or idk what.
Thank you kindly, we are a private family and mostly keep things private hence my not posting about it in general before. Drew was kind and he deserved the recognition.

Hard to know what to say under the circumstances. I wish you peace.
Drew is a great guy. I’m lucky to have the opportunity to spend time with him.
Thank you kindly we are a private type of family hence my not posting about her passing in general.

Me too I get it, somethings just are not to be shared or would you want to share. Going through the same stuff myself in a long range way with no cure that will ever be available in time (Alzheimers). When this happens you just deal with the cards you are dealt and hope you have the courage to follow through....
First post don’t really know what I’m doing but figured I would share my experience yesterday. Shot a decent 3x3 lung shot at 40 yrds. Gutted in the field then cleaned and butchered at home with my step dads help. This is my first season and first deer so I was pretty pumped.

Hatch, If you need another guide p.m. me and I'll give you his contact info, as I said he's a great guy and knows pigs, deer and the central coast very well.
New turkey hunter and saw some old posts where you seem knowledgeable in the Laguna Mountain area. I am going to check and try the area out tomorrow with my recurve and was wondering if you will be out there as well. Possible share some tips and tricks? Ill be going with my 45 lb recurve

for turkey you have to be fully camo including you gear, sharp eye of the turkey will blow your cover. i use to make dead fall blinds from dead trees, look for sign, get there before daylight , o listen for the turkey calls right daylight it's their locating calls they use on each other. try not to call very much they are use to hunters and will blow your spot.
thats greaser bob from django, you dont fool me

Check the classified for some gear. But seriously keep it simple, boots, big empty backpack, binos.

I was able to tag out on my Doe yesterday. I got her right by the cars at 6:15am. The deer are still moving.

Great job on punching your tags this year!!! That doe will be good eating. I am not sure what the storm front will do, but hopefully I will be able to get into some deer after it passes through. I am planning to start hunting Friday.

The storm should get them up and moving around. It might help the rut... I should be out there this Saturday and Sunday chasing quail and helping my buddies fill their Doe and Buck tags. My friends are torn as to what area to hunt this weekend. I will keep you posted if I end up at Adobe Springs. Im just along for the ride at this point.
