Where Does One Go To Learn About Regulations?

Yes. I have a tag for D15. It looks like its good for both Archery and Rifle season. Is this correct? If it is, I plan to take the bow while scouting, on the off chance an opportunity present itself. Then, during the General Season, I'll start carrying my rifle. Is this what others do?

Where Does One Go To Learn About Regulations?

Thanks for all the advice. I downloaded the regulations and have begun to work my way through them. I should be able to do that before deer season.

Where Does One Go To Learn About Regulations?

I am new to hunting. It seems like every time I talk to an experienced hunter the other person assumes I know a lot. For instance, I didn't know until I went to the San Jacinto Wildlife Area cleanup that one can't have more than 3 shots in their shotgun. Another example, I didn't know until I...

Volunteer Workdays / Blind Brush Up Days Set for San Jacinto Wildlife Area, Saturday, July 22nd, and Saturday, August 19th.

Call me crazy, but I'll go back on August 19th. I'm not a duck hunter but it was a good time and it helps the community.

I got bit by the bug

I can’t deny that it’s tempting. The length of hunt vs. available funds would be the limiting factor. I might be able to pull off a day, maybe two, but there’s no way I could afford a week.

I got bit by the bug

I can make a cow look an awful lot like that but I don’t have the same experience with deer. Looks super clean btw, nice work.

I have nothing better to do this weekend. Is the area accessible via car? Have weed eater, will travel. Regards, Dale

I've added a bow to my equipment but I don't know how to edit my About page. It's a PSE Omen, currently set at 50lbs. Training should bring that up to around 70lbs.

I got bit by the bug

I think I'm pretty well set up. I need to mount and zero a scope but I have everything on hand. I've been spending some time in San Mateo Wilderness (D15). I've been calling it scouting but I'm mostly trying to get into shape so that I can actually do scouting. I haven't found the deer yet...

I got bit by the bug

Quick question… I have 2 Deer Tags one for D15 and the other for D16. Now I’m concerned about my ability to find a respectable take. I’m considering a guide but I don’t have a lot of money. …The question (a two parter): Primarily, what should a guide cost? And secondarily, what should I...

    ONX Hunt Elite Membership

It seemed like the right thing to do. I also received a tree stand and a couple backpacks that I don't intend to use. I will be offering those for sale at some point but it seemed right to pass on the onX key. Plus... I wasn't at 20 posts then, but I am now. ;-)

    ONX Hunt Elite Membership

Not entirely sure. I went straight for the Elite when I was signing up because there was a discount that made the Elite and standard the same cost. This is a menu that may be unique to Elite but I can't be sure
