I have been hunting D and B zone all my life. It is ever evolving especially with the fires of recent years. Plenty of animals around, but bears are not easy to come by. Sure you may see one or two here or there but killing them is another story.
Short recap on how the season has gone so far. Some big game birds in the spring followed by the notorious A zone archery forky then a NV desert buck then a B zone buck followed by a 3 week vacation in Hawaii with some more archery hunting and two sheep.
They don't get old by being stupid.
different calls (mouth, box or slate), line of sight to your set up, sometimes its as simple as just knowing where the turkey wants to be and not where you want him to be. Stick with him - sometimes just being persistent is the key.
