Bumping this up for any other newbie that might find it helpful. Got my first rabbit today, and let's just say it was a learning experience. It's one thing to watch videos and read how to do something but it's a whole different ball game when you're hands on.

Any suggestions on places to look for a used shotgun like that? I just bought an air rifle cause I figured in the long run it would be much cheaper on ammo for small game but I am interested in getting a shotgun also.

Thank you for the suggestion, I'll look that book up. I was cruising through some of the other threads and saw that Jim Van Norman's "Mule Deer: Hunting today's trophies" was highly recommended so I also ordered that book. Looking forward to both of them showing up on my doorstep.

Yeah, those are my thoughts also. There is tons of info on the web but it can be tough figuring out what is quality info.
