Was that the foxpro one? I think they did the points like that because it's a national contest. Different areas of the US have more cats than fox and vise versa. I think it's super easy to call in a fox, harder for a yote, and hardest for a cat, especially in CA. But that's just my experience.
Lol I don't even want to be in the contest guys. I was just trying to keep all my kills in one post. Doesn't matter to me if foxes are included or not. I am actually done shooting foxes, I just needed 3 more to get a price break at the tannery.
All of the contests I've ever done say fox=1 point...
These three are all grey fox bud. I went back home in January and we got a coyote but I didn't take any pics. That's the last yote I've shot. I'm mostly just trying to fill my cat tags. We'll see! A few more weeks left.
I was just made aware that there is a coyote contest going on and that's why everyone's title is "2014 Predator (Name)." My bad, I was just trying to keep track of my hunts and not clutter the sub forum. I am not in the contest, never been much of a coyote hunter myself. The areas I call aren't...
Well, would have been another perfect night if all of the animals would have cooperated...I guess that's why it's called hunting and not killing.
First stand called in two sets of eyes on Baby Cottontail. The two animals start heading towards eachother, all I hear is sticks breaking like...
Went out to sight in my new .17HMR this evening, ended up running out of sunlight so I figured I'd make some stands.
First stand, 15 minutes in I decided to mute the FoxPro and started dinking around with some calls on my lanyard. 4 minutes later a grey came hauling outa nowhere. Dropped him at...
Western Desert and Mountain bobcats. Not coastal, our cats don't get furred up enough to be worth anything. I talked to some of the best trappers in the state because I wanted to start trapping again this year, but they all agreed that our subspecies of cats wouldn't be worth the hassle.
Just...
No I'm saying average. There were 862 coyotes sold with an average of $31.75, high being $90.79. There were 1157 grays sold with an average of $38.54, $98.00 being the high. That's a lot of different predators from all over the west. I'll guarantee you our pelts won't even hit the average, at...
