The old saying goes, you don’t know if you don’t go. I’ve put a lot of footwork in D-14 and D-11. Those deer have been spooked pretty good by now, so they’ll be tough to find. The dumb ones have been got already.

Probably a little late to get on the ball this year, but not impossible. I would start next years season now. Get to scouting, see where other hunters go (and don’t go there). Get your gear in order and start packing and hiking.

I wanted to leave Kalifornia fifteen years ago, and I couldn’t convince my wife to leave because of her family. Now she’s been eyeballing properties in Arizona, Nevada, New Mexico, and Idaho. I only want to keep within reasonable driving distance to San Diego as I love fishing out of SoCal.

Reminds me of many deer hunts. The scenery alone looks like it was worth the trip. I’m sure heading home is the hardest part. Thanks George!

I’d go for the Mossberg over the Remington. Remingtons quality control has been lacking for a while. Personally, I’d save up a few more bucks and get a Benelli Nova or for a little more, a super Nova. P.S. the Mossberg 500 is a fine gun, but they get a little finicky when they get dirty.

Sounds like a fun day
