    My new Quail hunting kit

Well it takes some financial commitments to easily fill it. I use 4500psi SCBA fill tank. The cheap way is to use a high pressure stirrup pump.. like a 3 stage bike pump on steroids. I used to use a pump years ago till I could afford a tank. I also have a portable compressor that runs off my...

    My new Quail hunting kit

Great question, It's fairly loud and does in fact sound like a firearm. As of now Airguns are exempt from the lead ban, although this particular Shotgun can be loaded with a variety of shot. It's .50 so it expels a TON of air during each shot, it's not anything compared to some of my Big Bores...

    Camping in Nat Forest

#1 RULE, always let someone know on a map where you will be and when you will return. Always makes me feel a whole lot better knowing my body will be found dead or alive if God forbid something happens. Permits are available and pretty easy to obtain. I have had good luck bush camping, the...

    My new Quail hunting kit

Hey you guys, a few weeks ago I received several new products sent to me for field reviews. Two of these products were Air Shotguns, one single and one double barrel...pretty friggin cool. I needless to say was a bit skeptical as well as excited to try them out on some birds for Quail opener. I...

Brocock Bantam Sniper HR/Range Test&Field Hunting review

Here was a recent field review I did of a new Air Rifle offered here from England. This is a somewhat high end Air Rifle but definitely a nice one for small game and varmint hunting. I basically took it out and tried to find everything wrong with it to be able to help others who may have...

    How to Start?

Welcome!! If you happen to have the old license or any old paperwork you may be able to get a new license at somewhere like Big5 or Turners Outdoors, BassPro etc, Honestly it may not be a bad idea to just go online at https://www.huntercourse.com/ and take online portion then the 3 hour follow...

    Burn areas

My experience in hunting burn areas is that it doesn't take long for critters to move back in or at least start passing through. Some of these areas are great as soon as some "green" starts in. The best part about hunting burn areas is the high visibility, especially for Deer, Coyotes, many of...

    Jason Hairston passes away...

I have heard it was indeed suicide, shot himself in the head. What a horrible thing, God bless his family.

    Into The Field Varmint hunt

Hey all, hope everyone had a great Labor Day weekend. I spent most of the weekend home unfortunately taking care of some much needed projects around the house. I did spend part of the weekend putting some final touches on a video I've been working on for awhile. Most of the footage is gathered...

    How to clean a rabbit

Love the tree huggers comment, why do people watch if they don't like it? Haha This is exactly how I do it, never tried the squeeze method. A knife and pair of scissors works real fast.

This heat is killing me, few Jacks and Ground Squirrels down!

Yeah they're very popular over the water, the high powered ones over 12 fpe lol need a FAC as they classify them as firearms. Luckily here we have a ton more freedom and are able to hunt big game in several states throughout the country. The regulations are changing but unfortunately I don't see...

This heat is killing me, few Jacks and Ground Squirrels down!

Haha Thanks for that complement. I need some spelling and punctuation work before I go to F&S, this is actually half what I posted on our website. Only able to post 20 photos on most forums. I post some of this stuff in the U.K. Forum and they just eat it up because airguns are limited to 12...

This heat is killing me, few Jacks and Ground Squirrels down!

Thursday morning we left the house and drove several hours into the remote mountains of Southern California. Terry and I set up in a location away from our campsite to check zero on our Air Rifles and to scout several new areas for hunting Ground Squirrels. The temperature was in the high 80’s...

    it's quiet, too quiet

Welcome!! I went out on opening day and saw several, it's been very hot in the areas I hunt so agree early morning or late evening. The best luck I've had finding them is near riverbeds and at the edge of hillsides.
