    Carhartt Hunting Boots

If anyone is still paying attention to this tread. Heres my update on my new carhartt boots, so far I love them. They are as comfortable as my work boots. They keep my feet a bit warm with the insulation they have, which will be good for colder months, makes me want to take them off after 6...

No public land in San Diego?

I see. The cut off is the 15 and 76. I hadnt looked that far south. I see a trail off the 79 into the Agua Tibia wilderness. Sent from my LG-H918 using Tapatalk

No public land in San Diego?

Lol I think that was my fault when I mentioned someone had better luck with the DFW than I did. By the way in your OP you mentioned lack of access to CNF? How so? I have plenty of access up into D15 CNF. D15 is sadly where I may end up trying most my first hunting since it is closest to...

No public land in San Diego?

I have to work July 1st. Ill be putting on the Fireworks Show for City of Corona. So by time I get out for cotton tails they'll all be in hiding. I have some recipes that require hare though. And Jack rabbit is the closest thing. Gotta try it atleast once. Sent from my LG-H918...

No public land in San Diego?

You had better luck with DFW then I did. I just called them this morning as a new hunter looking for information about the D12 area and hunting Jack rabbits near Desert Hot Springs or Palm Desert and was basically told to go buy a CA hunting map..... And hung up on. Which I guess I better...

    Rangefinders

What is everyone using here in the forums? I'm considering a Vortex or Sig Sauer Kilo. The kilo 2000 seems like the best bang for the buck even thought its more than ill need. Anyone use either of these or other comparable rangefinders? Sent from my LG-H918 using Tapatalk

Anyone want to take a newbie out?

Heres sand to snow per OnX. Mostly BLM and part San Gorgonio Wilderness. But yes the key will be what local wardens and rangers say. The area I'm looking at is a bit farther east. But i was bringing this up as its stated in the declaration to allow hunting, not that California would...

Anyone want to take a newbie out?

Same reason I havent head out to Sand and Snow yet. No one picks up the phone. It rings and rings and rings. Rangers dont pick up the phone. I'm making a list right now of the local game wardens of the zones I'm looking to visit and will call them. As I know somewhere around there...

Anyone want to take a newbie out?

I find that odd. As in President Obamas declaration of the Sand to Snow Monument, hunting is listed. "The protection of the Sand to Snow area will preserve its cultural, prehistoric, and historic legacy and maintain its diverse array of natural and scientific resources, ensuring that the...

Anyone want to take a newbie out?

I live not far. Corona/Norco. For jack rabbit this or the high desert seem to be the closest areas. Hopefully us new guys can get lucky and find something. Sent from my LG-H918 using Tapatalk

    Carhartt Hunting Boots

Thats the reason I decided to try the carhartts. I have a work pair I wear up to 65 hours a week at work, they dont bother my feet at all. I hope these are as comfortable. Time will tell. Sent from my LG-H918 using Tapatalk

    Carhartt Hunting Boots

Well I ordered the Carhartt boots. Pretty nice boot. Put them on while I watered my garden, very light weight and comfortable just like my Carhartt work boots. We'll see how they break in while scouting, fishing, and hunting jack rabbits. Sent from my LG-H918 using Tapatalk
