Need suggestions for the .224 Barnes 62-grain TSX BT

In the meantime, here's the latest 100-yard target using 23.4 grains of H335 and the Barnes 50-grain Varmint Grenade.

    Thor muzzleloader bullets

We were deer hunting when this bad boy walked out at 96 yards. Spine shot put him right in the dirt.

Need suggestions for the .224 Barnes 62-grain TSX BT

LP, you just solved my dilemma! For some reason. I was looking at the MPG's, not the TTSX's. John, can you get me two boxes of the 55-grain TTSX's? Again, THANKS LP!

    Where can I find gunpowder?

Inland Empire? How about Bass Pro in Rancho Cucamonga?

Need suggestions for the .224 Barnes 62-grain TSX BT

The reason I went with the TSX is because of the boat-tail design...better B.C. I'll go with a FB design if I have to, but prefer a BT.

Need suggestions for the .224 Barnes 62-grain TSX BT

I tried to work up a load for the 62-grain Barnes TSX BT in my AR using H335 but it wouldn't pattern. It seems that H335 works better for the lighter bullets. Barnes suggests Varget or Reloder 15 for the 62. Anyone had any luck with something else? Suggestions? Thanks

    Coyote hunting on Camp Pendleton

One of our club members (active duty USMC) was up deer hunting on Pendleton this past weekend when a coyote walked out into the open and got whacked! There are a lot of dogs up there.

    Thor muzzleloader bullets

Got to the range yesterday. 100 grains of BH209 gave a 1 1/8" group. Good loading bullet that shoots well.

    Thor muzzleloader bullets

The .502 was the correct size. Now to order some and see how they pattern.

    Deer Calls

I was out hunting coyotes two weeks ago and my buddy was using the call. As we walked into the stand, we saw a doe and yearling hanging around. As soon as the call was turned on (I believe it was a cottontail call), the doe came storming in, snorting and kicking rocks for a couple of minutes...

    Pure Predator Calls

Just a quick follow-up. I went out with two buddies last week and used the DC-1 at the last stand. No dog, but the two guys I was with said that was the best call they have ever heard. I've been calling since the mid-1950's and have done a lot of calling and heard a lot of calls. This is the...

    Pig Fodder!

I used to use the Nosler brass in my 22-250, but that was MANY years ago. Loved it and never had a problem. You'll find a combo that works for you. It just takes range time. (Oh darn!)
