Fishing looks good up. Is that a lake trout. If so I didn't realize they were in California. Hailing from Michigan they are pretty common there.

That is a great deer congrats! A large healthy specimen!

The most impressive picture to me out of all that is the grayling! Congrats that is on my bucket list, to catch a wild grayling(heck even a stocked grayling would be awesome). Few and far between, getting more scarce everyday it seems.

Did you hunt deer with hounds? I hunted in SE NC for a few years the roads were always overran with hunters running dogs for deer.

Yes it happens every year during oct-dec but a lot I things can affect it. Weather and location being the big factors.

The rut is when the does are in "heat" (ready to breed) and the bucks smell/ sense that and go stupid and start to do things more uncharacteristic like; venture during daylight hours more, not tend to care about you being there as much.

It did a stellar job, ~92% weight retention out of that bullet pictured above.
