The .243 is a fun round. I bought a .243 Howa for my son and wife to learn with. Last season my wife killed a decent buck and this season my son killed a cow Tule elk. First kills for both of them. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

The Howa 1500 rifles are pretty good in my experience. The weatherby vanguard is made by Howa. They both seem to have good reviews for the price. My son shoots a Howa .243. Its accurate and gets the job done. He killed a 300 pound cow elk at FHL with it last month, so can't complain. Sent...
