    High Sierra Buck

Looks even better on the wall! Thanks again Ed. I highly recommend @BOWUNTR for big game taxidermy services. Very easy to work with, quick turn around, reasonable prices…. I’m glad I mounted this buck. As I said before, not a numbers buck but I can’t get enough of that frame!

Nice Drew…. Too bad you guys weren’t hunting the big boys but I can think of a lot of worse ways to spend 10 days!

    Helluva last day!

That’s good to know! I will be on the lookout for any issues. I read lots of glowing reviews from regular guys on forums suggesting that these guns just don’t quit.

A super secret little water in Plaster City ;)

    Helluva last day!

For 870’s it would depend on the receiver. I believe the main issue is the ejection port size. There are 2-3/4” only receivers and receivers that will accommodate larger shells. I am more concerned with the fixed full choke than the inability to use 3” shells though.

    Helluva last day!

Had an absolutely killer day to round out the duckin’ season yesterday. Hard to imagine it being any better unless we had been able to knock down a few more green heads to make a full two-man limit. Tons of fun though and we were grinning ear to ear. I don’t imagine it gets much better in SoCal...

Nice John, have fun out there! Stand hunting is fun. Hopefully the leaves have dropped.

    Disappointed in the 16ers....

The lion is there because there are deer there.

    My 1st Deer Dropped.

Yep, they are almost easier to get that way than from the abdominal cavity.

    My 1st Deer Dropped.

Congrats! You can (and should) skin the deer while doing gutless. Skin one side, take all the meat from that side, flip it over and repeat.

    Disappointed in the 16ers....

Got as close as you can get and not finish this morning. Was helping a friend. Buck and his does simply disappeared. AZ next week and we’ll see if we can’t dig up a good D16 buck when we get back.

FIRST BULL DOWN IN NEW MEXICO!! Epic rut fest

Awesome! And there’s no shame in going guided…. I usually don’t do it, but it’s been a great experience the two times I have used a guide. @NBK is absolutely right, you will learn a ton and for the most part they are super fun people to hunt with because they are so passionate about what they do...
