I have the Razco attached to my Kuiu harness and like it so far.

Fascinating article. I think it has a lot to do w/where you spend time. I don't spend time in Grizzly country, so my concern is defending against black bears, mountian lions, and people. For that i usually carry my Glock 23. But i am definitely not a bear spray guy.

Never been waterfowl hunting, but my sons (15, 13, and 9) and I talk about it all the time. We have no gear and no trained dog, but would love to learn from someone that does!

Just picked up the CZ Bobwhite in 28ga. Had a lot of fun w/it during dove season and now waiting on Quail to open.

Ditto on the campfire GUNDOGLOVER49. Also, the flush of a covey of quail from all around your feet.

I had this in my cart for checkout along with the pistol attachment, but ended up going with the Kuiu one instead only because of the direction of the opening. During archery season in AZ this January, I struggled a little bit getting my binos out from my Vortex harness because the top opens...

I'm not a high-end camo guy, but I did splurge on the Kuiu bino harness and don't regret it. Mostly, because it opens top-down and it much easier to remove the binos.

Gotcha. I’ve never hunted SoCal so I am not familiar with the zones. He’s pretty excited so I’d better figure it out in the coming months.

Forgive my ignorance, but I don't follow. I also don't know anything about the area. He put in for it based on odds and # of tags.

I lived up there for about 5 years in the mid 2000's. Always saw a lot of deer there. Never hunted it though. If they are still around, try and talk to Jeff at Honey Lake Firearms.
