Went to San jacinto yesterday with a couple buddies. Lots of action all around us and plenty of neighbors sky busting but we were still able to get a few.
I just got back from our hunt and my 300wm was just over 15#s. Several people said it was WAY too heavy. We put almost 16 miles on our boots in 2 days without any complaints.

Just finished cutting elk all day and made elk backstrap for the family. This was the first time my dad had elk and he really liked it! No better way to wrap a hunt than to enjoy eating a perfect medium rare elk steak!

Got to play with the Garmin this morning and it's pretty solid. No fine aiming like the labradar. Just point down range and shoot. Also had shooters on either side of me and it only picked my shots up.
