Archery is less crowded than general. That said, the crowds die off after opener for both.
400 yards is a liability, I'd go further. You can't hike far enough to completely get away from other hunters here. Obviously the further you go the less the chance but you're never more than a few miles...
Stud buck for sure. Steve is giving you top quality advice. I would exercise serious caution going right back to where you bumped him and spend time looking for other approaches where you can watch or hunt him should the wind switch or something when season comes around.

Couldn't agree more. He is slicker than most would admit.
Every interview someone on the right thinks they "own" him but in reality he is learning better talking points and honing his message (lies).
