First couple of days was a challenge. Not only cold as F’K, visibility was terrible. All the Elk went high with the storm. Once the sky opened up it was on.
He was a Badass. First Sheriff of Cimarron county Oklahoma. At a time that was truly dangerous. Wish I could have met him.

Picked up this old post from my Great grandads ranch in Oklahoma. The spurs were his too. I often wonder how old this post is. He settled the ranch around 1893-6. The old barn has deteriorated and wasn’t standing any longer.
